Superbowl Stroll Followup

Aliso and Woods Canyon Wilderness Park -- Our goal was a 5-mile round trip hike back to Robbers Cave to see a little bit of Orange County the way it used to be. We saw several deer along the way in a meadow and got to play with the park rangers’ pet snake. We learned a little about the local geology of the region and of its’ past use as open range for cattle which is still evident. All boys in attendance qualified to earn the Cub Scout Hiker High Adventure patch in addition to having a great time and getting some exercise. I wonder what adventure we have planned for next year?

Superbowl Stroll Feb 3rd

Mark your calendars for this Feb 3rd for the annual Superbowl Stroll.
Join us as we embark on a trip back in time to Robbers Cave (AKA Dripping Cave) where legend has it that stage coach bandits used to hide out back in the 1800’s. This is a real hike of about 5 miles round trip but it is all flat. We are also going to earn a Cub Scout High Adventure Award for hiking on this one so we need all boys and leaders in your Scout uniform.
