Cub Scout Pack 651 proudly serves the community of Lake Forest, California. Our current membership is nearly 50 boys; from first to fifth grade. Our Pack meetings are held at Santiago de Compostella Catholic Church, on Lake Forest Drive - east of Trabuco Road. Pack 651 Cub Scouts participate in various local events, including: the City of Lake Forest - 4th of July Parade, Scouting For Food, Toys for Tots, and Scout-O-Rama. Pack 651 annual events include: overnight "family" camping opportunities, beach parties, swim parties, bowling, and picnic events for the Cub Scouts and their family.

Pack 651 Cub Scouts participate in various local events, including:

Dens & Meetings

There are two meetings each month. The Den Meeting is where the group of boys in the same grade/level (Your Den) will gather to work on achievements and/or do activities. The Pack Meeting is where all the Dens get together and discuss further Pack activities and give out awards/recognition for achievements and participation.

  • Wolf Den - 2nd Grade
  • Bear Den - 3rd Grade
  • Webelos I - 4th Grade
  • Webelos II - 5th Grade

Meetings are held in the Parish Hall of Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church.

  • Pack Meeting - 4th Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 PM
  • Den Meeting - Please see individual den tab
  • Parent/Leader Meeting - 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 PM

Note: No Meetings are held in July or August, unless other information was provided.

Cub Scouts Love Camping!
At Pack 651, we understand that Cub Scouts love camping.  We also understand that making a date work for lots of people can be tough.  We camp four times each year so that each of our families have multiple opportunities to come join the fun!
Some things we do while camping:

  • Astronomy Presentations
  • Map & Compass

  • Geocaching
  • Games

U.S. Coast Guard Campout

Friday, April 29th - Camp on the Coast Guard Base (dinner on your own)
Saturday, April 30th

  • 8:00 a.m. - Breakfast
  • Coast Guard Tour
  • Coast Guard Boat Rides (Cub Scouts have priority)
  • BBQ Lunch
  • Search & Rescue Demo
  • Fishing off the Coast Guard pier (bring your own pole and bait)

Things to bring:

  • Camping gear for Friday night

  • Life vests (if you have any at home)

  • Fishing gear and bait

Pack will provide:

  • Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday

  • Coast Guard Patch

Cost: $5.00 per person (school-age & older)

Webelos 2

Webelos II Den Leaders: Glenn Plank, Loreli Sakach, Mitch Baloun

Our goal in Webelos II is to get our boys ready for their transition into Boy Scouts. We accomplish this by working on the Arrow of Light, meeting and camping with local Boy Scout Troops and organizing Den level outings and activities.
